Three ways to train with us

The Academy Programme, five professional courses, and the IT/SIWES placement in a 3-month or 6-month option. All taught hands-on in the same labs by the same engineers. Fees and dates come straight from our enrolment register.

Short, intensive courses for engineers and technicians who need one specific skill, taught in weekday sessions of 4 hours daily.

What happens after you apply
From application to your first class, all in one place
Apply in three steps
Choose your path, start date and payment plan. Your invoice is raised when you submit (custom plans: after we agree the plan); nothing is charged until you pay.
Pay the way that suits you
Bank transfer with the proof uploaded in the student portal and confirmed by the office, or an invoice to your employer. Every payment gets a numbered receipt.
Your portal from day one
Timetable, class join links, materials, assignments with receipts, marks and feedback, attendance and your progress by competency.
A certificate employers can check
Issued only with at least 80% attendance, every practical skill verified and fees settled, with a number anyone can verify on this site.

Frequently asked questions
What are the admission requirements for the Academy Programme?
A minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO, age 18 and above. No prior technical knowledge is required; we start from the basics.
What payment options are available?
Bank transfer, with the proof uploaded in the student portal; online card payment will be added later. The Academy Programme (₦1,200,000) can be paid in full or in three monthly instalments of ₦400,000; PLC Programming Mastery in two instalments (half at registration, half at the mid-point of the course); the 6-month IT/SIWES placement in two equal instalments (₦175,000 at registration and ₦175,000 at the 3-month point); SCADA and HMI, Smart Home and the 3-month IT/SIWES placement in full. Are your certificates recognised by industry?
Every certificate carries a number that employers can verify on this website, and it is issued only when your practical skills have been verified by a facilitator. Statements about employer recognition will be added when we can substantiate them.
Do you help with jobs after training?
We share job opportunities we hear about with our students and alumni. We do not provide job placement or guarantee employment.
What equipment will I learn to use?
Siemens S7-1200 PLCs with TIA Portal, Allen Bradley PLCs with Studio 5000, variable frequency drives, WinCC and FactoryTalk SCADA, HMI panels, industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus RTU/TCP and DeviceNet) and AutoCAD Electrical.
What is your refund policy?
Full refund if you cancel before classes start. Within the first 10% of the course, we refund the amount you have paid, minus a 20% administration charge; after that, no cash refund. Switching to another course is possible only within the first 10% of the course; after that, deferral to a later intake within 12 months may be granted with the approval of the Head of the Academy. Unpaid instalments are cancelled. Details are in our refund policy.
Can I visit the campus before enrolling?
Yes, we encourage it. Campus tours run Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Book via WhatsApp on +234 813 006 3696 or email academy@lightautomations.com.
Is accommodation provided for students from outside Ibadan?
We don't provide on-site accommodation, but we can share a list of lodgings in the Bodija and New Bodija areas, within walking or short commute distance of the campus.
Can I pay a professional course in instalments?
Yes for PLC Programming Mastery: two equal instalments, the first when you register and the second at the mid-point of the course. SCADA and HMI Development, taken as a single course, and the two-week Smart Home Automation bootcamp are paid in full before they start.
Can I take more than one professional course?
Yes. Discounts are available when you enrol on more than one course: ask the Academy office. The discount is applied to your invoice.
